The Ruse - Lay You Down

Going to see this band on Saturday at the Bowery Ballroom! My friend from A&M is going to be in town and his cousin is the lead guitarist…so we’re going to the show and then we get to hang out with them afterward! The Ruse was featured on Season 3 of The Hills and I pretty much love their sound. Way excited.

The truest thing I know about relationships…is that sometimes, we don’t know anything at all. You can’t always get the one you want. And sometimes, the one you get…may not be the right one at all. But if you have hope, the universe has a funny way of showing you exactly what you need. The challenge is to let yourself be alone until the right one shows up. But you can’t hide either. Heartbreak sucks… but not having heartbreak sucks more. The answers aren’t in a lecture or a book, but maybe if you make yourself happy, you’ll find the right one.

Ms. Cutrone suddenly blared “Rapper’s Delight” from her laptop and lit a cigarette at her desk. “Sometimes I do nothing for a moment,” she said, adding that she uses brief, deafening musical interludes as “a management tool.”

“I’m not just doing it ’cause you’re here,” she added. Her preternaturally calm assistants nodded vociferously.
