And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn - I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too. — Barack Obama, president-elect, who will embrace the beliefs of others and who understands our nation’s need to stand united.

Barack Obama is elected President of the United States
This is history, and we’re a part of it.
We did it!! Words can’t even begin to explain…
One New York City vote for Obama/Biden! :) Also, these voting machines are from 1940.
I woke up early earlier than usual for DEMOCRACY this morning, only to discover that my polling place had a line that stretched all the way down 51st Street and wrapped around 2nd Avenue. Not exactly my idea of a good time. So I decided to grab coffee and actually slip into work at a decent hour. I’ll be trying again in a few hours…but even if I have to sacrifice my lunch break and stand around in the cold, I’ll be casting my vote for OBAMA today no matter what.
Today is going to be exceptionally long and nerve-wracking, and I just hope it turns out in our favor. And by OUR I mean everyone with a brain who wants a change we can believe in, dammit.
